Having recognised the need to add value to freight services ordinarily offered by logistics companies, Britannia Bureau was founded in 2009 to fill this vital gap in the market. With our unrivalled expertise, we are able to deliver state of the art, fully digitalised Customs and international trade processes focussing on the delivery of solutions in this critical area, often times neglected by others.
Our principal business objective is to identify and deliver major cost savings and performance improvements whilst protecting our clients from the risk of non-compliance penalties. As an independent, ‘free-from-freight’ company, we have a willingness to work in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in order to explore and implement the most resilient solutions for your business – improving processes as well as your critical bottom line. Our ethical approach is driven by a team of highly trained professionals with unique skills, complemented by specialist systems – with proven results.

Our People
We have a dedicated team of close to 100 employees across in the UK, amongst us experienced customs practitioners and logisticians with skills in the provision of best practice solutions, providing legislative support and advice within key areas such as customs warehousing, Returned Goods Relief and Inward Processing. This is underpinned by a dedicated data management team providing best in breed systems through MyFreeway.

Through his 35 year career in the import industry, Mark identified a gap in the service provision ordinarily offered by logistics companies. By developing a neutral and independent Customs advisory investing in the delivery of best in breed software solutions, coupled with dedicated staff focussing within the key area of international trade management, Britannia Bureau was thus created in 2009.

Jamie has 27 years of freight forwarding experience, dedicated to the operation and management of Customs Clearance services. He set up and gained accreditation of his first Customs Warehouse authorisation in the mid 1980s.
